Praying For Newtown

After the events in Newtown, CT on Friday, you might expect a long rambling about the 2nd amendment from me today. Well, not today. It's not policy debate day. Right now is a time to mourn and reflect, not to bicker and point fingers. Out of respect for the victims- those innocent children and the adults who lost their lives- I will refrain from political debates on guns until the flags in D.C. are raised from half staff. There is a time for every purpose under God. Right now is a time of sadness and grief. The policy debates can wait a few days.

My heart goes out to the families and friends of the victims. You are in our prayers, and will continue to be. No words or gesture can fill the void you now bear, but know that America is here for you. I pray that the souls of those who lost their lives find peace, and that their families may find some means of comfort to help them endure this very difficult time.
