It's Not Going to Work!

I'm getting pretty sick of watching Obama, Pelosi and Reed try to pass off this damn stimulus off as something that will help us and tell us that there is no pork spending in it whatsoever. The damn thing is more pork than stimulus. Amtrak is getting money, the National Endowment for the Arts is getting money, hell there's 400 million set aside for global warming research. They're trying to justify this crap by saying that investing in these things now will benefit us down the road. That's a load of bull. The point of a stimulus is to get things moving now, get people spending money now, create jobs now, not roll the dice on future possibilities. However, even if the bill was nothing but spending programs that would ACTUALLY help, it doesn't matter. A year ago the Bush administration tried the same damn thing and it didn't work. Obama keeps reiterating that we can't rely on Bush's failed policies, so why is he trying to pass a much larger version of one of his failed pans? What the hell sense does that make? It makes sense because it is his way of doing two things without the people realizing he is doing it. One, he can pay back organizations that helped him get elected. Money is going to be given to the states and they'll be able to allocate it as they see fit. Therein lies more pork. The states that have Pro-Obama legislatures will send the money to people and places that helped elect their "messiah". It's sneaky and I must say very smart. But it is also insulting, because they assume that we will not see through the plan. Now, number two is even more conniving. Dressing this thing up as a "Stimulus Package" allows him to spend as much money as he wants on whatever he wants, because he knows that his followers will assume he knows all and that everyone will get behind him. Again, the bottom line is he thinks we're stupid. They all do. They don't give a damn about the economy any further that it will make them look good if they get things moving in the right direction again. All any of these politicians care about anymore is what they can do to make themselves and their cronies look good. No one is defending the constitution, the document of beliefs and values that the founders of this nation wrote down at the outset, the basis for all that is America, and the reason you and I are able to live the lives we live. I'm sick and tired of these people fighting for things that don't even matter. This "stimulus" WILL fail. I am making that declaration here and now and I will stand by it with all that I have. Remember that a year from now and four years from now, when nothing has changed.
