So over the past few weeks, Obama and the uberlibs have been telling us how very important it is that we pass this supposed "stimulus" package. They said it's the only thing that will work. They said it is the duty of Congress to get this pork-filled sham through and onto Obama's desk. Obama has been shoving down our throats this notion that at this point only government can save us. They filled this damn thing with as much spending as they think they can get away with, run it through as fast as they can, and then what does the "messiah" do? He decides to take a long weekend for Valentine's Day. Instead of getting back to Washington yesterday, which he should have done if this was as important as he wants us to believe, he waited until today instead. What's more, instead of simply getting it done and signing it, they had to make a big showing of it by heading out to Denver. What was so hard about coming back to the White House on Monday and getting everything finalized? Well My friends there was nothing difficult at all. The fact is the thing just wasn't as vital and important as they wanted us to believe. All of the fuss was made simply to get people on board with it, and to get the thing through before we had too much time to think about it.
The Dems threw a fit when the Patriot Act passed before people had enough time to properly asses it, even though it helped keep our country safe. But it's fine for them to waste our money without Congressmen having enough time to read the plan. It's all a bunch of political strategy. They wanted to spend the money, so they dressed it up as a "Stimulus" and told us how urgent it was that Congress pass it. By putting off signing it until today, Obama proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that this package is not the all important nation saver it was made out to be. This is only the beginning. Obama and the congressional Liberals are going to continue to push through legislation that conforms to their socialist agenda one right after another, doing their best to disguise everything as "vital". They are going to do their best to transform the principle of this nation. We are a nation based upon individuals working hard to achieve their goals. The American dream is all about starting with nothing, working your way up and achieving the things you want. Now, the Dems want to punish people like small business owners who have actually done the work and built a business. They want to discourage people from getting loans and putting themselves through college by trying to socialize education. They've already crippled the real estate markets by allowing people to purchase homes they can't afford. None of these things even remotely resemble the ideals the founders of this nation had in mind. We are slowly losing sight of everything we once held in high regard. But we can stop it. If enough of us rally together, we can keep our values intact. It's not gonna be easy, but I promise you it can be done. If we all do our part, we can keep the American Dream from becoming the American Dread.
